Midway through the first period the game featured the first Blue Card (two minute penalty) in All-Star Game history.
The South Side capitolized scoring on the power play, and really dominated much of play from that point on. At half
time the South Side had established a 2 goal lead. The North Side tried to put together a second half come back behind
goals by Anthony Cecchini and Juan Lopez, but the South Side was just too tough. They scored two goals of their own,
and proved to be the more dangerous team all night long.

The Chicago Storm followed with a strong 5-3 victory over the St. Louis Steamers.
At half time of the Storm game all the members of both the Mens' and womens' senior All-Star Teams were recognized by the
crowd as they walked onto the field to receive certificates of participation from Frank Klopas of the Chicago Storm.
It turned out to be a tremendous evening, and a big step for the CPSL and our student athletes.
